It has been a whirlwind of a summer so far!
We had the great opportunity to join Puma in a trip to Mexico City to unveil the 2010 Puma Pumas UNAM new home kit and watch Pumas UNAM open up the season against Toluca. The atmosphere was great at Estadio Universitario and best of all Pumas got the victory with an amazing goal late in the second half.
Then on to Real Madrid coming to Southern California to do their preseason training. Adidas chose us to be the retailer to do a grassroots activation with adidas and Real Madrid which consisted of a 7 v 7 under 17 boys and girls tournament. The tournament turned out great with 24 boys team and 8 girls teams all competing for the chance to play on field against Real Madrid in a closed door training session in which all participating teams where invited. The Real Madrid players were great with the participating teams. The winning teams received a Jabulani Official Match Ball, a pair of F50 adizero cleats, tickets to the game and a free set of uniforms…I’d say that was a great prize!
Finally on to the Rose Bowl to watch Real Madrid take on the LA Galaxy in front of 90,000. It was great to see all these amazing players up close and personal, especially thanks to adidas who gave us some amazing seats!
So all in all it has a been a great start to the summer. Our thanks to Puma for the amazing trip to Mexico and adidas for giving us the opportunity to be part of such an amazing event with a renowned worldclass team as is Real Madrid. It is an honor to be able to have these opportunities!
